This is a project that explores what can be done with a random 3-dimensional shape that has been given the name "Dave". This shape has been used by myself in a different works of art where I explored what it can be through different colors, materials, sizes, and in animations. I have also provided a downloadable pattern so that others can make the shape and explore its possibilities. You can still download the pattern here if you want to contribute to this experiment.

This project was an effort to engage the general public in a weird but playful task - look for things of certain colors. I hoped that people might notice something new in what they have in common with others, or notice something novel about how they perceive the color in their day to day lives.
GUTS (Gallery Under the Stairs) was a project about exhibition that I carried out during the first year of the COVID pandemic. Participants sent in work to be displayed in the one-person-at-a-time gallery that I set up in the storage space under my stairs. After the exhibit was up for a few months, the participants got a random piece from a different artist sent back to them.
